Growing up, my mom was an elementary gym teacher and I spent many hours in the gym. Some of my best memories of my childhood are doing activities with my family or from athletic teams I was a part of.
Fitness has always been a major part of my life, and I wanted to help people and make a difference in other’s lives.
During my time at the University of Mary, I studied Exercise Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology. I LOVED helping people heal through movement, and being a caring and supportive guide through many hard times. I spent most of my schooling in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab, which is a tough time for many patients, especially on the other side of a cardiac event or pulmonary diagnosis.
Exercise was only one piece of healing. The support and personal connection was another huge piece.
Over the past decade, I have helped start 3 different fitness programs with different focuses.
Coach Kayla T is my personal brand- my clients become my family and I wanted my brand to reflect that.
My husband Drew and I have been married since 2017 and have our beautiful little guy, Brooks, who was born in 2022. We also have our angel baby, Adam, watching over us in heaven since Dec 2019.
We met playing rec league volleyball and still play as often as we can. Drew coaches football and track for the Bismarck High Demons, and I have the pleasure of coaching track alongside my husband.
If we are not playing or coaching any sports, we are most likely attending a sporting event, adventuring outdoors, or traveling anywhere we can.
